Mr. Bartee’s practice is centered on estate planning and business law. He has assisted clients in the preparation of complex estate plans, wills, and trust agreements, as well as simple wills. He has negotiated and drafted prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements. To facilitate wealth preservation and asset protection, Mr. Bartee works with clients to identify estate-planning goals. He then explores various ways to accomplish those goals through tax strategies involving offshore asset protection, domestic asset protection, investments, co-ownership of property, life insurance, trusts, and charitable giving, among other approaches. Mr. Bartee has also assisted both individual and corporate clients in structuring transactions to ensure the most beneficial tax treatment under current law. He has experience forming, dissolving, and advising general partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, S corporations, and limited liability partnerships, as well as negotiation of employment agreements, buy-sell agreements, and employee handbooks.
