Mr. Mooty's practice is centered on general civil litigation. He has worked on cases involving
health-care litigation, including the representation of health-care providers and professionals. He has
assisted in the defense of trucking companies, insurance carriers, individuals, and businesses in

- In 2001, Mr. Mooty was awarded a full academic scholarship from the University of Alabama
Forensics Council to compete in speech competitions across the country. As a result, in his final
semester of law school, Mr. Mooty was asked to teach two sections of public speaking (COM 123)
in the College of Communication and Information Sciences.
